Baby Footprint Frame
by Lena Hilltorp

The baby footprint frame is a great shower gift or great gifts for the grandparents. When you purchase a baby footprint frame, you will notice that there is usually room for the print and a picture of the baby. You can place it in the office, in your den, or give it to someone that is close to you and the child.

They make a perfect gift for expecting mothers, but it will also make a great fathers day gift or grandparents day gift. The kits for foot printing will usually have a frame that will allow you to hang them, however, you will find that there are many kits that look a lot like a double picture frame.

These kits are very beautiful and capture the childs youth perfect. Most of the time you will find that you can purchase a footprint frame that comes with the materials to make a footprint. Sometimes the kits are sold separately. You will also find that these kits may require some added work or mixing.

You can also find ink kits, where you take an ink picture of the babys foot, but if you want a dimensional memory of your childs foot, you may want to purchase the hassle free kit. You dont have to mix at all, but press a foot into the molding clay and then let it dry out. Its like using play dough.

These impression kits will be the prefect gift for a mother and loved ones. Grandparents will feel so special getting this picture frame, not only with a picture of the baby, but the impression as well. You will want to make sure that you purchase a frame with an acid free picture mat. This way you dont have to worry about fading.

When you go to use the kit you will need to follow the directions on the box. You shouldnt use too much force to make an impression. If you do you may injure the child. Children are born with soft bones and for their first couple years, they can easily break something. If you are wondering what holds the mold in place, it is usually double sided tape that will attach the molding to the frame. You may also need to use a type of crazy glue that will be provided by the kit.

When you get the framed molding along with an attached side for a picture, you are creating special memories. For the rest of your life you have solid memories. No matter what happens, you will always have the memory of your child.
